Red represents authenticity and the care-free self while Black represents time and the insecure self. In the end, Red sacrifices a part of itself and Black withers away, but on the other side of the horizon they've joined into one being.
This animation is composed of 866 individual drawings (no copy and pasting). The music was performed by my dad and mixed by me. I dedicated the film to my mom, who I was missing at the time because she was on a journey of healing in her home country.
I worked on this animation every night for about 3 or 4 months in my last semester of high school. I can't explain why, but I felt an URGE to make it. Looking back, I can see how much I was expressing what I was going through.
